Welcome to the Link Piazzo Learning Center website where you can find basic library information and links to supplemental sources.
The library/learning center is open Monday-Friday, 7:15 a.m. to 2:45 p.m., during the school year with the exception of special events or closures. Students have access to over 20,000 books, many periodicals, student computers for schoo l related work and Internet access, online subscription databases, black and white printing, supplies for in-library use, and a black and white copy machine (10¢ per copy).
Students must have their RHS ID card for checkouts, and the loan period is three weeks (15 school days). Items may be renewed unless on reserve for someone. The overdue book fee is 10¢ per school day, something that some students forget! Outstanding fees must be paid before more checkouts are allowed (for late, lost, and/or damaged items).
On the library/learning center website, find links to resources, including our online catalog Destiny
To find if an Accelerated Reader (AR) quiz exists for a book, see www.arbookfind.com Renaissance Learning creates new tests weekly, so if you don’t see a title that you want, make sure to check back soon.
The library is pleased to accept donations in both book form and monetary form. Donations might reflect a special interest, commemorate a birthday, be in memory of someone special, or be in honor of someone (perhaps a certain teacher, administrator, student or friend). If requested, a book plate will be placed in the book with the corresponding information.
Gifts in monetary form will be used for ongoing acquisition of fiction, non-fiction, or reference materials. Special requests are also considered.
General donations are accepted as well. Though most young adult materials are easily incorporated here, we must be selective with the copyright dates of reference and some other non-fiction materials.
